Life at Soul RevivalYou can probably tell already but we seriously love hanging out. So if you can, bless us by spending time getting to know people and helping us get to know you.

Here are a few tips to help Soul Revival feel like home.

Join a Community GroupMeet up weekly to read the word, deepen your friendships, share some food, bring your friends along and pray together. The groups meet up all around the place, so reach out to one of our pastors to find one near you.

Serve at Soul Revival There are tonnes of ways to get involved serving, make friends and bless the community.

Here is an overview of each of our 10 service teams.

  • We treasure kids at Soul Revival. We create a safe, friendly and fun place for them to make friends, grow as disciples and learn about Jesus. All the adults who help out are equipped with a Working with Children Check and Safe Ministry Training.

    FUSE

For kids in Year 5-6, Fuse is a great time to hear from the Bible, get to know one another while also running amok, playing games, having epic Nerf wars and water fights, or even sharing high tea.

    WEEKEND KIDS

Soul Revival Kids meet together at each of our weekend gatherings. We do things a little differently by having two sections to the night – the Bible Teaching Time and Kids Chill.

  • On Friday nights, youth goes off! On any given night you might find someone eating a Big Mac smoothie, hurling a water bomb, having a deep chat about life, listening to a talk, shooting some hoops, dancing up a storm or a sweaty mess from running around all night.

Youth is on every Friday during the school term at Kirrawee and Miranda.

  • We love to create, we seek to inspire and we love to bring God all the glory with the skills he’s given us.Our arts team includes a range of roles that contribute to making our services happen.

We are all creative. Creativity is hardwired into our DNA because God, the creator, created us in his own image. It pleases God when we create good things, because He sees us reflecting His image.

There are many ways to serve others by tapping into your creative side at Soul Revival. Help create a meal, mix on the sound-desk, help with our slide presentations, play and instrument, sing, design for printed material or for our website.

  • At Soul Revival Church, although we believe the same as other Anglican churches; we are a little different. Church is not about just one hour per week. It is a nexus; a place that brings different generations together and allows them to form real relationships. At Soul Revival Church we ensure there is significant community time either side of the service. If you have kids then they will enjoy a quality children’s program.

    CAFE

We love hanging out which is why we have a killer coffee machine. Before and after each service, we love having a coffee and we always need trained or aspiring baristas, baking heroes and friendly faces helping out.

If you’re keen to get involved chat to Lou at the hub one week.

    WELCOMERS

We love welcoming people as they rock up to our gatherings. Not only do we just say hi but welcome is all about helping people integrate into the life of our church.

  • The Life Support Team helps us to grow as friends as we share life together. Jesus taught us to “love God and love others”. So, we do our best to support and promote real relationships with one another as Jesus has calls us to do.

We are encouraged by Jesus’ words when he said that those who follow him are his friends when we love one another. We enjoy being friends with Jesus and being friends with each other because we are united in the Gospel. We care for one another in our gatherings, in our service teams, in our community groups, and in many other ways.

Basically, Life Support aims to help our community support one another in life. This includes organising and supporting events outside of our weekend gatherings, which seek to build deeper relationships with one another in our community.

  • At Soul Revival we want to promote a culture of hospitality. We do this by providing great coffee, sharing a meal together each week and having a welcoming space where we can make new friends. We also give everyone an opportunity to be a part of the hospitality team to help prepare meals and clean up. It’s a great way to serve the community and get to know others quickly.

We also love to see people invited into homes to share life together. Sometimes this is for a meal, a coffee, a catch-up or by joining one of our many Community Groups which meet in people’s homes.

Jesus shared many meals with many people in different homes as he taught about the kingdom of God. Sharing a meal together is a great way to get to know each other as friends and encourage each other to keep following Jesus. It also gives us an opportunity to have a conversation about faith. This gives people of faith and those who do not yet follow Jesus a chance to talk about Jesus and his teaching.

  • Want to be more equipped in serving? Berea is our internal training ministry to help us grow ourselves, grow others and grow connected communities.

Berea offers great local church training in the Bible, ministry ideas and practical skills. Because we’re all different, Berea has a number of different pathways to accommodate all our members at whichever age or stage of life you are in. There’s Berea for kids, youth, school leavers, younger adults, adults, and retirees. We’ve also got a number of different ways to be trained; from casual conversations, project team training, seasonal lectures, and internships. Whoever you are, whether you’re checking out Jesus or been a Christian for decades, whether you’re in a ministry team or an occasional visitor to Soul Revival, whether you’re thinking about going into full time ministry, or just want to ask some basic questions about Jesus; Berea is our way to help all of us grow.

  • Our Missional Communities help welcome people into our community. There are many groups that meet all through the week at various locations. In a relaxed setting, usually in someone’s home, they aim to help people get to know God better as they mature people in Christ using the Bible.

Missional Community members seek to care for one another with equal concern, invest in one of our church gatherings and reach out together on mission by sharing the love of Jesus in the wider community.

Every Soul Revival Missional Community follows along with the sermon series. That way we can go even deeper into what the Bible teaches and help each other apply what it says to our lives.

We call the leaders of these groups ‘Planters’, because as our Missional Communities grow we envisage the need to plant more groups.

  • We hope to be a church planting church and partner with people in mission around the world. We want to grow in our desire to pray for, care about, give to and go on mission. While we can’t support every person’s passion, we do encourage every Christian to be on mission.

We’re a church that helps share the love of Jesus both locally and globally. God sent his one and only Son, Jesus, into the world to save the world through him. He wants all people, everywhere to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

We value creativity and innovation. We understand the importance of art, design, social media, filmmaking, print and digital technology. Is an important aspect of the culture of our church and provides more ways for people to hear about how Jesus changes everything. The Communication Team also helps people say up-to-date with all that’s happening in Soul Revival and helps our gatherings to run smoothly.

We are all creative. Creativity is hardwired into our DNA because God, the creator, created us in his own image. It pleases God when we create good things, because He sees us reflecting his image.
